Résumé

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation and organizational commitment on the work ethic of civil servants in the Sambas Regency Education and Culture Office. This study used an associative research method. The sample in this study was all Civil Servants of the Sambas Regency Education and Culture Office, total 57 Civil Servants and excluding the Head of the Office. The results of this study indicate that the Partial Test Results (T-Test) with t-values on the Motivation variable (X1) of 2.854> t table 2.042 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it can be concluded that Motivation (X1) partially has a significant effect on the Work Ethic (Y) of Civil Servants at the Sambas Regency Education and Culture Office and the t-value on the Organizational Commitment variable (X2) of 0.158 <t table 2.042 so that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, it can be concluded that Organizational Commitment (X2) partially does not have a significant effect on the Work Ethic (Y) of Civil Servants at the Sambas Regency Education and Culture Office.
